Constance Ard

Constance is a professional librarian with 14 years experience and expert research skills.  After 12 years as a legal librarian for an Am Law 500 firm, Constance launched an Independent Information Professional business.

Constance is an active information professional organization volunteer. Currently she serves as the Chair-Elect of the Legal Division of the Special Libraries Association. She also serves as Chair of the Kentucky Virtual Library Advisory Committee and Chair-Elect of the KLA LAMA-RT in addition to serving on several committees for a variety of professional organizations.

In October 2008 Constance was presented with the Professional Award by the Kentucky Chapter of Special Libraries Association.  Other awards include the Kentucky Libraries Association Special Librarian of the Year Award 2007 and the Kentucky Chapter of Special Libraries Association Outstanding Chapter Member Award 2006.

Keisha Mabry

Keisha is the AmeriCorps Volunteer Coordinator for the American Red Cross where she specializes in volunteer recruitment, retention, recognition, and training for thirteen counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.  Prior to joining the American Red Cross, Keisha was a research assistant for the University of Louisville, a state supported research university ranked among the “Top 25 Entrepreneurial Colleges for Graduate Students,” and a sales representative for Cintas Corporation where she focused on business-to-business account development and management for Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Keisha is a native of Louisville, Kentucky and a graduate of Central High School.  She received her B.S. in Merchandising from the University of Kentucky, Magna Cum Laude, and her M.B.A. in Entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville, Summa Cum Laude.

Her academic, leadership, and volunteer honors and awards are numerous and consist of the following: Barack Obama Fellow; Who’s Who of America; Lyman T Johnson Young Adult Leadership Award recipient; Rohm and Haas Chemistry Scholar; Rohm and Haas Volunteer of the Year; Kentucky Governor Scholar; WHAS-11 Fulfill the Dream Scholar; Churchill Downs Winner Circle Scholar; Bill Gates Millennium Scholar; Whitney M. Young Scholar; William C. Parker Scholar; University of Kentucky Delta Epsilon Iota Honorary Society Charter Member; Cintas Achiever’s Club;  the National Dean’s List and more.

Professionally, Keisha serves on the board of the National Black M.B.A. Association Kentucky Chapter, is a committee member for Big Brothers Big Sisters Kentucky Rico’s Roundtable initiative to close the achievement gap, and an advisory committee member for Lincoln Foundation’s Project BUILD (Business United in Leadership Development) mini-M.B.A. program.  She is also involved in many community organizations, associations, and projects which include: Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Leaders of Tomorrow (a mini-M.B.A. mentoring program to help average performing high school students realize their full potential); Southern Belles of Louisville Reality Television Show; Project Warm; and 100 Wise Women of Louisville. 

Personally she is a member of St. Stephens Church and enjoys mentoring and tutoring for the No Child Left Behind Program and the Jefferson County Public School System.  Her personal mission statement is to change the world whether for one person or the entire population.

 

Stephen E. Arnold

Stephen is a technology and financial analyst with more than 30 years of experience. Stephen has extensive operational and entrepreneurial experience, able to bridge the gap between new ideas and the financial implications of a technology.

He has worked in all aspects of software and online systems since graduating from college. Stephen is the author of six books and over 50 journal articles. In October 2004, CMSWatch.com published Stephen’s 450-page “The Enterprise Search Report.” This report profiles 27 enterprise search engines and includes management, budgeting, and technical information. He has published three technical monographs about Google: The Google Legacy (2005), Google Version 2.0 (2007), and Google: The Digital Gutenberg (2009).

In 1972, Stephen was recruited by Nuclear Utility Services, a unit of Halliburton Industries, where he worked on a wide range of nuclear and electrical engineering projects. In 1976, he joined Booz, Allen & Hamilton and helped build its technology management practice. In 1981, he left Booz, and assumed responsibility for electronic publishing activities at the Courier-Journal & Louisville Times. Products nurtured under his management include ABI/INFORM, Business Dateline, and Pharmaceutical News Index, and the General Periodical Index. He joined Ziff Communications in New York in 1988.

Mr. Arnold has worked provided technical, financial, and strategic support for many technology projects. In 1993, he and a partner started Point (Top 5%) of the Internet, selling that property to Lycos, Inc. in 1996. Since that time, Mr. Arnold has been involved in a number of projects related to Internet technology, including the personalization tools used in the original @Home service. In 2000, he helped develop the plan, architecture, and security guidelines concepts for First-Gov.gov, the official gateway to U.S. governmental information (and now one of the ten highest traffic sites in North America). He remains involved in a range of government initiatives through his partners in Washington, DC and Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of the planning team for USWest’s electronic yellow pages. He has worked for a number intelligence and enforcement organizations, including the US Senate Police, the Office of Management & Budget, among others. He was a member of the team that developed the Threat Open Source Intelligence Gateway, an initiative of a US Federal agency.

He is the recipient of the following awards: ASIS Eagleton Lectureship, 1986; Online Best Paper Award, 1989, the Malcolm Hill Award, 2003, the OSS Golden Candle Award in 2007.He is the author of more than 50 journal articles and a number of books, including Internet 2000 and the three editions of the 600 page encyclopedia of search called "The Enterprise Search Report", published by CMS Watch. His January 2009 study /Successful Enterprise Search Management/ with co author Martin White is available from Galatea, also in the UK.
